Our History

Crestwood Child Care Centre – a Montessori inspired pre-school – is located in Molendinar opposite the new Gold Coast Hospital and the Griffith University. The operators of Crestwood Child Care Centre have been serving children and their families with the Montessori style of education for over the last 20 years.

After operating two Montessori schools on the Gold Coast for many years, one for 100 children a day and the other for 65 per day, catering for a total of 165 children, the operators have now purposely built a boutique Children’s House for just 20 children aged from 3 years to 6 years. It is a holistic family run Service which opened in mid 2015 and which has enjoyed great success with many satisfied parents.

All staff hold a minimum of a Diploma Level in Early Education and are Montessori trained. We are dedicated and passionate about delivering the highest quality of education possible.  We have recently introduced the “Jolly Phonics” program which is used extensively around the world by Montessori and many private schools. The children love learning with it and they have received good results constructing words whilst under 4 years of age.

The Service received approval in 2015 for funding by the Federal Government (CCB and CCR Funding) and in 2016 received Queensland Government Kindergarten funding approval. The staff members ongoing commitment shows dedication and a firm belief in a Montessori inspired education.

Over the years the operators have been on the Brisbane Montessori Committee in Brisbane and have made significant contributions to Montessori education on the Gold Coast. We are members of the Montessori Australia Foundation and support their efforts to promote Montessori education.
